What Is DermaV?
DermaV is a laser system designed to treat vascular concerns, pigmentation concerns, uneven skin tone and can also help with overall skin texture. This device uses two wavelengths—532 nm and 1064 nm—allowing the provider to select settings based on the concern, treatment area, and the patient’s skin type.
Its built-in cooling helps make treatment more comfortable. What Concerns Can DermaV Treat?
Depending on your evaluation, DermaV may be recommended to improve the appearance of:

How Does DermaV Work?
DermaV delivers focused light energy to the target area. For visible vessels, the laser targets hemoglobin in the blood. For appropriate pigmented spots, it targets pigment. DermaV laser wavelengths can also be combined to help improve skin texture through collagen remodeling and also improve overall skin tone.
Your provider selects the wavelength and settings based on what they are treating. This ability to tailor treatment is particularly useful when patients have more than one concern, such as facial redness alongside select sun spots. It does not mean that every type of discoloration can or should be treated in the same session.
Who May Be a Candidate for DermaV?
DermaV may be an option if you want to improve visible vessels, persistent redness, uneven skin tone, overall skin texture or remove/reduce the appearance of certain benign pigmented spots like age spots and sun spots. What Happens During a DermaV Consultation?
Treatment begins with an assessment of the area you want to improve. Your provider will examine the concern, discuss your goals, and explain what DermaV can realistically address.
Your provider will discuss both pre and post treatment recommendations to ensure your results are optimized. Once a thorough treatment plan has been developed, you will be scheduled for your first treatment session.
Downtime, Recovery, and Results
Many patients can return to normal daily activities after DermaV treatment. Temporary redness, swelling, or sensitivity can occur. A treated brown spot may temporarily look darker before it fades, and some vascular treatments can cause more noticeable short-term skin changes. Results develop as the skin recovers.
